General objective of the Project is creating high-value employment opportunities through the establishment of modern long-term and on-demand short-term officially accredited training courses in meat production and processing.
Also, the development of a large workforce in the field of animal husbandry, which will meet the needs of the private sector and will be in line with international standards.
Grant objectives and working directions
Within the framework of the project, two long-term and five short-term professional educational programs will be implemented, the first stage of training will begin in October 2024, and within 2 years, up to 270 specialists will be trained and retrained, authorized professional programs and textbooks from Switzerland (School of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences (HAFL) and Schweizer Fleisch-Fachverband (SFF)) will be prepared with the involvement of experts.
Schedule of project’s main activities
Duration of the project: 27 months, from October 2023.
The fund will transfer not exceeding the sum of 199,980.32 US dollars to the project budget as a grant.
Grantee
“Blauenstein-edu” was created in 2018.
“Blauenstein Edu” is a non-governmental, non-commercial organization founded by the Georgian-Swiss meat products company “Blauenstein” for knowledge sharing and general educational purposes. “Blauenstein Edu” together with partner organizations, “USAID Employers for Vocational Education” and “Gudavadze-Patarkatsishvili Foundation” will implement long-term and short-term vocational training certificate programs in the field of animal husbandry.
