Grant
School Leadership National Award campaign is initiated by the Georgian Coalition – Education for All in 2019. The award is open to any school headmaster who is appointed at the public school in Georgia. In order to participate, one has to submit an electronic application through GCEFA web page.
Applications will be assessed, shortlisted candidates will be interviewed, finalists and the winner will be selected by an independent Committee that is composed of 16 members – education specialists, representatives of the academic/educational institutes and public figures – who will act on a volunteer basis.
The winner of the School Leadership National Award must be a true leader, demonstrate the strategic vision and great motivation for the development of safe and student-oriented atmosphere, for professional growth of teachers and staff, for partnering with the interested stakeholders
The winner would be awarded a special prize and Gel 5000. The school would be given Gel 30,000 for implementing the school related project.
The two other finalists will be awarded Gel 2000 each personally. Besides, according to the projects developed by them, each would be given an opportunity to get additional funds for their school improvement. The total grant fund for finalist schools is Gel 25,000.
Grant Objectives
- Increasing school image and reputation and supporting improvement of school management in Georgia
- Identifying successful headmasters and acknowledging good leadership practices.
- Supporting school internal initiatives that are oriented towards improvement of teaching and learning and enhancing safe and positive climate and school culture.
Grantee
The Georgian Coalition for Education for All (GCEFA) was established in 2013. Formed by 15 NGO’s, GCEFA is a member of the Global Campaign for Education, and advocates for the implementation of EFA Declaration principles in Georgia. The aim of the organization is to improve the quality of education and to achieve equal access to quality education
