Grant objectives and working directions
The processes related to the global pandemic posed a new challenge for the Georgian general education system. Schools were required to transfer from a traditional schooling environment to a virtual learning process in the shortest possible time. Although this practice has been around for a long time in many foreign countries, it turned out to be a complete force majeure for the Georgian society.
In view of all this, the readiness of Georgian educational institutions for the distant learning regime looks even more acute. This applies to both teaching and learning, communication with parents, technical aspects and, in general, the administration of the whole process. As for the school principals, apart from separate webinars and general recommendations, there is no single resource that would provide them with consolidated information on specific steps to be taken to manage distant learning.
Schedule of project’s main activities
The project will start on September 15th and end on March 15th
Grantee
“Georgian Association of School Administrators“ was founded in April 2017. Its main goal is to promote the development of effective and efficient management in general education in Georgia. The organization unites current school principals, deputies, quality management managers who share the view that it is necessary to establish modern management paradigms in Georgian schools, which mainly means presenting the school leader as an educational leader, and understanding the school as a space that achieves national goals of general education.
